Sara began dancing at the age of 3 at the Atlanta Community Dance Program. She transferred to the Cheboygan Area Arts Council Dance program at the age of 5 where she studied ballet, pointe, lyrical, jazz, tap, and Spanish. She completed a ballet intensive at Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey and spent a summer at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp majoring in dance. Sara had the opportunity to perform in The Nutcracker with the Minnesota Ballet Company while in elementary school. She competed in three pageants, winning two of them, including the talent portions with her dance choreography. She choreographed several opening numbers for pageants as well as choreographing several individual talent numbers for local contestants. Sara continues to pursue her love of dance by studying at Dean/Black School of Performing Arts.

Sara is currently attending Saginaw Valley State University pursuing a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She plans on combining her love of dance with her chosen profession to assist people in rehabilitation and maximizing their movement potential.

Sara has experience teaching dance and assisting with choreography while at the Cheboygan Area Arts Council Dance Program. She has been working with young people with the Boys and Girls Club in Saginaw, promoting healthy lifestyles. She looks forward to this new adventure and is excited to pass along her passion for dance.
