Kelsey Christiansen Kelsey Christiansen - Contemporary

Kelsey began her dance training at the age of five and is still going strong. She studied ballet, pointe, modern, and jazz at Saginaw Arts and Sciences Academy and Dean/Black School of Performing Arts. She spent two summers as a dance major at Interlochen Arts Camp and has participated in many other intensives such as Chicago National Association of Dance Masters Ballet Forum. Kelsey has performed with the Moscow Ballet, Minnesota Dance Theatre, and under famed choreographers Randy Duncan, Christopher Huggins, and Larry Keigwin. Her choreography was chosen to perform by adjudication in the Michigan Youth Arts Festival at Western Michigan University in 2009. Now a dance major and Maggie Allessee Talent Scholar at Wayne State University, she plans to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Dance Education and continue teaching and choreographing. Kelsey is thrilled to be returning to Dean/Black as an instructor.
