Erin Schneider - Hip Hop
Erin began her dance training in Saginaw with Bohaty School
of Dance with 14 years of training in tap, jazz, ballet and
acro-gymnastics, and many years of competitive dance. She
also passed Grades I through IV Cecchetti ballet exams.
Besides attending many master conventions during that time,
she has had opportunities for private instruction with Sarah
Savelli, Rod Howell, and Tiffany Leise, plus 6 weeks of
study of tap, jazz, and hip hop at EDGE Performing Arts and
Millenium Dance Center in Los Angeles. She has had small
group instruction with Greg Russell, Alan Sherfield, Anni
Hatcher and Ginger Glenn. Erin attended Chicago Human
Rhythm Project tap festival for 4 years, and studied with
M.A.D.D. Rhthyms of Chicago for 4 years. Erin previously
taught and choreographed for Dean/Black in 2005 before heading to Chicago to pursue studies at The School of the
Art Institute of Chicago. She received her BFA in May of 2008 in
Visual Communications and Graphic Arts after receiving her
AAA at Delta College in Electronic Media and Graphic Design. Other teaching experience includes hip hop at Kathy Francis Academy of Performing Arts in Alma, Bohaty School of Dance
in Saginaw, and Atlanta Workshop Players Performing Arts
Camp. Erin is happy to be back at Dean Black School of Performing Arts Inc., where she enjoys the atmosphere of teaching and learning and loves the kids!
